Ashanti and Nelly introduced this week that they welcomed their first baby collectively!
“Funny how life’s plans aren’t…always on time.. lol. I’ve been waiting to be a mom for a long time now but nothing could prepare me for EVERYTHING motherhood brings!” Ashanti wrote on Instagram.

In April, Ashanti and Nelly introduced they had been anticipating their first child collectively.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” Ashanti previously told Essence. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
According to paperwork obtained by People, the couple tied the knot in December 2023. That similar month, the Grammy-award-winning singers sparked being pregnant rumors whereas on stage attending the eleventh Black and White Ball on the Four Seasons Hotel.

This is the couple’s first child collectively and Nelly’s fifth. According to People, he shares his daughter Chanelle and son Cornell together with his ex-girlfriend Channetta Valentine. After his sister, Jackie Donahue, died of leukemia in 2005, Nelly adopted and is elevating her youngsters, Shawn and Sydney Thomas, the outlet reported.
