A 34-year-old man from Lynbrook in Melbourne’s south-east is confronting one decade behind bars after trying to “bulk port” 86 cell numbers to an extra telco.

The occasion occurred in July in 2015, and was discovered by the telco, which was not known as.

The telco videotaped 193 affirmed port-in efforts associating with 86 cell numbers signed up with varied different service suppliers.

Of these, the Australian Federal Police alleges that 44 were successfully ported over “without the rightful owners’ consent.”

“The AFP is working to identify victims and procure statements from those allegedly affected,” it acknowledged in a declaration.

Police acknowledged they confiscated issues from the house of the man, “including several mobile phones, a desktop computer, SIM cards and suspected drug items, which will be subject to further forensic analysis.”
